Blue Ridge Chapter M-Performance Driving School Event

The BMW M Performance Driving School is the perfect activity for those looking to learn how to improve driving skills, gain additional understanding of car dynamics, & have an adrenaline filled day with several BMW M Car models.  The Driving School encompasses one entire day on Saturday, July 29, 2023.  Professional racing instructors will lead you through the day providing some classroom time & then continual on track instruction & feedback during each track event to help you improve your skills.

THE BEST PART OF THIS IS THAT YOU ARE NOT DRIVING YOUR OWN CAR.  The Performance Center has an extensive fleet of various M cars, so you will have the opportunity to “DRIVE THEM LIKE YOU STOLE THEM” without any risk to your own car!!  Where else would you get the opportunity to drive over a half million dollars worth of cars in a single day & not have to be worried about breaking something?!?!

The Performance School portion is limited to the first 30 registrants & registration cost is $850 per person.  Registration is open to all regardless of club affiliation.

• Registration includes driving school admission, attendee lunch, commemorative T-Shirt, & admission to the BMW CCA Foundation & Zentrum Center museums as well as a 2 hour guided tour of the Greer BMW Plant.

Guest are invited to attend the museums & plant tours for an additional fee & are welcome at all social gatherings.  Please provide the guest information in your registration.

We will have a block of rooms reserved at an area hotel & that information will be communicated at a later date to registered attendees as we work to ensure the best value for attendees.  You will be responsible for securing your accommodations once that information is shared.

Schedule of Events:

• Thursday, July 27, 2023 (optional) we will plan a meeting point & caravan down from Virginia to Greer, SC.  Meeting place & drive route will be shared at a later date.
  • We will meet at one of the many local eateries for a dinner & social gathering.
• Friday, July 28, 2023 BMW Museum Tours
  • BMW CCA Foundation Museum
  • BMW Museum Tour at the Zentrum Center
  • Greer Production Plant Tour – this will be a two hour guided tour through the entire production process for the X model BMW’s
    • There is no additional cost for these for the School Registrants.  Guests are invited to join in for an additional fee.
• Saturday, July 29, 2023 – BMW Performance Center Driving School
  • The Driving School times run from 9am to 5pm
  • Lunch is provided by the Performance Center (included in the event fee)
  • Dinner & Social will be located at another local eatery
• Sunday, July 30, 2023 – Event Concludes
  • For those who would like to caravan back to VA, we will be leaving from Greer about mid-morning (optional)
